To kick off the campaign, a few models were selected to set the good example and provided an impression of what to expect during the photoshoots. One of them, of course, was none other than Emil Sitoci. Sanex has a history of featuing Dutch athletes, such as world famous ice skaters Rintje Ritsma and Marianne Timmer. Now, for the first time ever, a wrestler is associated with the brand, although Emil has let us know that the partnership will  probably not extend to a long-term endorsement at this time.

The result of Emil’s photoshoot was revealed live on the sunday evening RTL4 lifestyle program Life 4 You, featuring hosts Carlo Boszhard and Irene Moors. When the photo popped up on the big screen, it made an impression. Emil was a guest audience member on the show, and was asked to comment on his picture by the hosts. When Moors asked him wether or not he was proud of his body he coolly replied “Welll… Yeah!!”. Other notable guests on the show included Bram Moszcowicz and Yolanthe Sneijder Cabau.

For those wondering what Emil exactly means by “See you next month”: Zema will still attend the DPW Grand Slam Fan Fest, just not as an active performer.

The Dutch Pro Wrestling board acted fast, and have already determined that Emil’s new opponent at Grand Slam will be none other than “The Gold Standard” Shelton Benjamin !! Sitoci will be in for the fight of his life, as Benjamin is widely regarded as one of the most talented wrestlers in the world! Currently active for New Japan Pro Wrestling, he has previously made a name for himself in Ring of Honor and WWE. Benjamin captured the Intercontinental Championship, but is perhaps best remembered for his great accomplishments as one half of the “Worlds Greatest Tag-Team” together with Charlie Haas.

Dutch wrestling fans are buzzing at the unexpected addition of Shelton Benjamin. Sitoci, has yet to comment.

Here bloggeth your party host Emil Sitoci! Us Dutchies throw a killer party ever since our glory days of piracy & plunder back in the Golden age. Especially around April/May we have a lot going on, like Queensnight (Party!), Queensday (PARTY!!), Liberation Day from “Zee Germans” (PARTY BitcheZZzz!!!) and of course my birthday (No comment due to impending lawsuits).

But what happens when you team up Hollands #1 hellraising wrestler Mr.Emil Sitoci, with our baddest rockchick Anouk !? Complete & Utter Chaos I tells ya! This past Queensday I had the questionable pleasure of being thrown into the middle of old Nobody’s Wife’s Pre-Eurovision Hotel Bash. Anouk btw, turned out to be somewhat of a wrestling fan, as she’d been to the WWE hoursehow in Ahoy, Rotterdam just days before. Anynuts, Yellow Claw was spinning, there was a jacuzzi full of champagne and even ittybittytiny midgets running around. Misbehaviour: I saw my shot, I took it !! Enter a Swedish Speedo, blonde wig & half a gallon of champagne: Sitoci the pillaging party viking once again rose from the depths of which he came !!

What happened next you ask? Well take a look:

As soon as the images leaked online, Dutch media was quick to jump all over the story of this wacky wild night. They ate that pie up like their mommas made it! Anouk garnered a lot of attention and response from showbizz experts all over the country, before revealing on her FACEBOOK, that the whole shebang was a publicity stunt to launch a campaign for the major insurance company Centraal Beheer Achmea.  After hanging out in Amsterdam with Anouk I can tell ya that this one knows how to put the rock back in your cock, and I’m hoping she’s gonna kick ass at the Eurovision Song Contest later this month.

Ps. A party-related special shoutout to my drunken Japanese single-serving party host “Roppongi-Akira”! Rionne & myself met this dude at our hotel in Sibuya Tokyo. After I helped this drunken master get into his hotelroom he decided to repay us w/ free dinner & shots all night! Akira-san, peace be with you, whereever you are!

Besides talking up the big upcoming DPW show on June 2nd, which also features Scott Steiner, Chris Masters and Carlito, Emil will also talk extensively about his wrestling career and his personal life. And of course it will be interesting to hear if he has some choice words for his Grand Slam 2013 opponent Zema Ion. So tune in!

Of course, if you really want to know about pro wrestling, a little physicality is order as well. FHM reporter Chris puts on the spandex and throws his 60+ kilo’s into battle against the undisputed heavyweight of Dutch Wrestling: Sitoci himself. Needless to say, the poor kid was streched beyond his wildest imagination, and would soon have more twists & turns in his body than a German pretzel.

However, Sitoci had an agenda of his own. After cozying up to Akira, he was quick to shock both friend and foe alike when he turned on the WNC Champion in the middle of a tag-team match and smashed a metal folding chair over his head. Fans were stunned and voiced their disapproval, Akira was enraged and the WNC board worked themselves into a frenzy. Sitoci was quick to challenge Akira for his WNC Title in front of the live crowd, and immediately went on to attack Akira in the press, calling him “old” and “out of touch”. This bold strategy put Emil exactly where he wanted to be: The press ate up Sitoci’s wild behaviour and Akira was hot for his blood. Within 2 months, Emil had succesfully catapulted himself into the main event, and into the WNC Title hunt.

So it came to be that Sitoci and Akira would face not once, but twice on March 31st, 2013 at Shinjuku FACE in Tokyo, Japan.

Afternoon gala. Main Event, 12.00:

AKIRA, Shuri & Starbuck vs. Emil Sitoci, Bonnie & Ivan Markov
◆Winner: Sitoci (16:20) with the Splitlegged Moonsault on AKIRA.

~ Sitoci led his team into the ring and immediately started playing headgames with AKIRA. A brawl between the two teams ensued, and the action spilled out of control. When order was finally restored, Emil continued to harrass Starbuck and AKIRA, by putting a vicious beating on Shuri. After AKIRA stormed the ring in a rage, but teams went at eachothers throat again. In the chaos that ensued, Sitoci managed to take out Starbuck with a Snapmare Driver, and smash AKIRA’s knee before finishing him off with the Splitlegged Moonsault. After scoring the pinfall victory, Sitoci grabbed the microphone and boldly informed AKIRA that his reign as Champion would come to an end, later that night.

WNC Championship Match: [1st Champion] AKIRA vs. [Challenger] Emil Sitoci
◆Winner: AKIRA (18:31) with the Musasabi Press.

~ Sitoci succesfully targeted AKIRA’s knee throughout the fight, limiting the champions movability. However, Sitoci would soon suffer badly bruised ribs after AKIRA countered a top-rop belly-to-back suplex attempt. Even though Emil stayed dominant for most of the battle, he was visibly weakened for the first time in a WNC ring. A fierce battle ensued, with neither man wanting to give in to the other. Sitoci put himself at risk by attempting his patented Splitlegged Moonsault, but AKIRA pulled his knees up at the last second and smashed them into Sitoci’s injured ribs. As Emil gasped for air, AKIRA devastated the challenged with not one, but two (!) consecutive top rope attacks and scored the pinfall victory.

Despite his knee being hurt, AKIRA takes it to Sitoci with an Enziguri kick.

The “battle of the egos” is set! Both men are greatly skilled technical wrestlers, with an unmistakable flamboyance to their style. And they are right in your face about it too! Ion carries high hairspray to the ring with him, while Sitoci can’t seem to put on a wrestling hold without striking a pose to the crowd at the same time. Just days ago we speculated that it would only be a matter of time before The WNC office sanctioned a Championship bout between Emil Sitoci and AKIRA. Today the Japanese press broke the news: On friday March 29th, AKIRA will defend the WNC Heavyweight Championship against “The Untamable” Emil Sitoci. The contest is scheduled to take place at Shinjuku FACE, Toyko, Japan at 19.00.

As we said, this decision did not come as a surprize. Emil remains undefeated in Japan, having disposed of Yusuke Kodama, Koji Doi and Yo-Hey in singles competition. An impressive feat. After carefully positioning himself next to AKIRA, he also made headlines by turning on the Champion and bashing him over the head with a chair, allowing him to be defeated in a tag-team contest. As AKIRA seethed in rage, Sitoci added insult to injury by publicly stating that “[...] This is what you get, when you bring in younger and stronger talent to WNC. So guess what old man,  I never came here to be your friend! I came here for one thing: Your gold baby! And I’m gonna take it from you!” With all eyes of the Japanse press on him, AKIRA had little choice but to accept Sitoci’s challenge. A mindgame cleverly played by the Dutchman, who proclaims that the “European New Generation” is gearing up to take over WNC.

While Sitoci has the momentum going for him, it remains to be seen if he can take the Championship from the wrestling legend AKIRA. The WNC office has fully capitalized on the heat between both men, by also making them battle each other in tag-team competition earlier on the very same day. The European New Generation (Emil Sitoci, Ivan Markov & Ekaterina) will take on Synapse (AKIRA, StarBuck & Syuri) at Shinjuku FACE in the afternoon. Sitoci’s objective, logically, will be to inflict as much damage to AKIRA as possible and soften him up for the Championship bout later that night. However, AKIRA’s goal with be the same, but Syuri and StarkBuck will also be looking to extract their payback on Sitoci. Syuri was publicly betrayed just as much as AKIRA was, when Sitoci turned on them. Emil later on stated in the press that “[...] just like AKIRA, Starbuck is an old man, and I’ll take great please in hurting him”. The remark did not sit well with the Finnish former WNC Heavyweight Champion.

This being said, Sitoci is getting what he wants: A shot at the WNC gold. But he’s gone all in to get it, and has started a fierce raging war with some of the worlds most dangerous wrestlers in the process. Will Sitoci suffer his first defeat in Japan, or will the bold Dutchman dethrone AKIRA and seize control over WNC? The ultimate clash will happen on March 29th, in Tokyo!

Last month, it was Tajiri who brought Emil into WNC. After watching Emil in action at DPW, the Japanese Buzzsaw decided that he wanted to introduce The Untamable One to the Japanese audience. While being thankful and respectful, Emil was quick to cozy up to WNC Heavyweight Champion AKIRA and women’s Champion Syuri, uttering his admiration. In the ring, Emil proved himself by defeating established Japanese stars Yusuke Kodama and Koji Doi. This lead AKIRA to allow Emil to join his group Synapse.

Tajiri was left in the dust, and would even find himself facing Emil in the ring during a 6-man tag match at Shinjuku FACE in Tokyo, this past thursday. Synapse (AKIRA, Emil & Syuri) would take on the team of Tajiri, Zeus & Makoto. The Japanese fans were excited to see Emil again, and greeted him with streamers during his entrance. But they would leave the arena stunned and shocked that night. It seemed like a matter of time before Emil and AKIRA would finish off Zeus and get the win, but out of nowhere, Emil smacked AKIRA over the head with a folding chair, and allowed Zeus to finish off the Champ. After the bout, fans voiced their disapproval while Sitoci had some harsh words for AKIRA, calling him an old man and declaring his own superiority over the Japanese legend.

Japanese media quickly picked up on Emils actions, writing that “The New Generation has crossed the Border”.

After leaving Tajiri in the dust, Emil has now also publicly betrayed and embarassed AKIRA.  Since the Japanese wrestling world is now fully aware of Emil’s challenge, AKIRA will have little choice but to fight the Dutchman if he wants to save his honor and his credibility as champion. As of this writing, not match has been finalized yet, but there is really no way around it anymore. It looks like the Untamable One has masterfully played Tajiri, AKIRA and the WNC office to get to what he wants: The WNC Title.
